Well,
It's 11:30 am on Monday, and I've finally fow some breathing room to post on how Summer Camp is going.
I left with a crew of 9 from the church at 9:30 am. We arrived at "The Beach" (supe-code name for Beulah Beach) at 1:45.
The buses left at 1:45, and they arrived at 8:00 pm. What's the moral of the story? It takes a little longer for buses to get here!
But, the kids arrived full of stories of new people they have met, funny stories, etc.
Last night, we had our first Celebration time.
Let me tell you, you haven't experienced corporate worship quite like 180 people crammed into a 30 x 60 tent! We began our journey into Matthew 14:22-33 with "JUMP out of the Boat." Students were challenged to identify what fear was keeping them in the boat.
Things are kicking! I'll get some pictures up this evening.
This afternoon is spent out in Groups Initiatives. PRAY FOR NO RAIN!!!!!
Here's some other ways to be praying:
Senior Class and their leadership role.
Students who don't have a relationship with Christ.
Cottage Groups and leaders connecting.
NO RAIN, NO RAIN, NO RAIN... (I talked to a farmer... it's all good. They don't need rain either.
Everything is running very smoothly.
