Worship at Cedar Point

Let me start this by saying that in my 20+ times to Cedar Point, I have never been there on a more miserable weather day. Yet, I have never had as much fun as I did at Cedar Point yesterday.

I had been fervantly praying that the rain would be held off. God honestly had something better in store. The rain allowed us to become a little less focused on "the rides" and a little more focused on the people we were with, and the times "in between." As we braved the rain, we found ways to enjoy the time we had waiting in line for a ride to open.
At the end of the night, we met together for all 180 of us to ride as a group. The rain was pretty steady at this point, but the Magnum XL200 and Millenium Force were still open. Our ride on the Magnum was pretty exciting. There was about a 40 minute wait for the Millenium Force, which turned in to 40 of the most enjoyable minutes of my life. Everybody drenched, we began to cheer, jump and dance. Kids simply let go of insecurities, masks and everything else, and simply enjoyed the moment and the people they were with.
IT WAS CONTAGIOUS. Within minutes, a party had broken out in the line. It was chaos, but yet very encouraging, fun, and uplifting.
In that time together, I saw worship. It was a time of lifting up Christ by enjoying our time, and lifting up each other, and in the process, others joined in.

We're all a little tired from our long day, but a relaxed afternoon at Soak City will do us well.

Pray for tonight, as we begin to look to heading home. We will take time to pray for the Senior Class, and "Commission" them, also, we will pray for New Life Fellowship and what lies ahead for them. We are going to seek to JUMP for joy and have a time of worship like we've never experienced before. My prayer is that we will encounter the Power and Purity of our Almighty God tonight.
Session starts at 8:00 pm.

Sorry, tried to put up pictures, but not having much luck.

We're all praying for you back here! And we're looking forward to seeing these students bring it all home!

My daughter is not a mmember of the youth group but has attended a few gatherings and is a guest at camp. I have loved hearing about your days and the blessings God has "showered" on you. I can't wait to hear the stories and "see" the change this has impacted on my daughter's life. Though we have not been connected in anyway electronically with our daughter while she is at camp, this blog has given me a chance to feel a little connected to what she has been experiencing.
