My hypocrisy

I'm sure you've seen the commercials. Two people in a car having a conversation. They're driving along, talking about nonsense, and all of a sudden...

Boom. Crash.

I'm guessing the company (Volvo or Volkswagen, can't remember, something with a V) wants you to know that if you drive their car you'll get in a crash.

The commercials bother me so much that when they come on, I frantically grab for the remote and change the channel before the crash happens.

Today, I was watching VH1 (50 most awesomely good or bad something or others... it's my day off, so back off!) when the commercial comes on. I grab the remote and hit the up button, which goes to SPIKE, and it's Most Outrageous Police Chases. I'm immediately enthralled as I watch some shirtless drunk guy driving like crazy in Georgia. He's running from the police as he T-bones a van and slams into a tree, then takes off running.

And my hypocrisy settles in...
