okay, told myself i'm allotted just two minutes to try this stupid thing, and being the self-disciplined person i am (ha), i stuck to that limit. 20.264 seconds, except now that i see brad's score i have to go back sometime today to beat him.
i tried it again yesterday and only got to 26.something. thornton, i'm not liking you very much right now.
and just for the record, derry, i am only married to someone in full time ministry. i myself am a sahm, and yes, all of my kids are still alive. i think.
So, it turns out that the slower your connection, the easier it is to run up the time. My computer was running the weekly virus scan just now (which really slows down my normally whip-fast connection) and I got to 36 seconds. It was moving noticeably slower.
I squeezed out a 30.969. Got me hooked I must say. I've spent about 10 minutes on it and I think I'll save my other 50 minutes of the hour for a class this week.
I saw prof. prenkert's post, and just want to clarify that I do have a high speed connection and got my score honestly. I have tried again to match it and can't get any better than my 34 seconds from before.
Hi, Brad. Didn't mean to suggest that you were dishonest in any way. I was just making an observation about how I was able to get a really "good" time on the game.
(I'm also suspicious that the game, through cookies or otherwise, actually speeds up the more you play it. When I cleared my cache and cookies on my IE, the game slowed down noticeably as well.)
And now that it is painfully obviously that I have wasted WAY too much time on this game, I am walking away from it.
