Yup, it's done. On-Fire Rallies 2007.
As a result, here's some things I've seen...
... A Senior student recapture his vision and calling to go into Ministry.
... A Senior gal I've seen finally begin to "Own it" and truly express it. She's been in the church. She's been solid, but now I see her alive.
... A student come clean on some poor choices with a relationship. True confession and repentance. A readiness to take the steps to not find himself "back there" again.
... A Junior student "give it all back". I'm convinced he's ready to step it back up.
... A Senior guy who is ready to give God a try. Looking forward to connecting with him next week. He's got three sheets of questions we're going to talk through. I'm ready for lot's of questions back, and lot's of "I don't knows."
... Various other Youth Groups encouraged, uplifted and challenged to "own it."
... New friendships with a California-dude who lives in Marion, a key-tar playing worship leader from Colorado Springs, a George Weigand look-a-like from Vegas, and a guitar playin' dude from Kokomo.
... A core group of students who are ready to take their next step (a bold step) that I truly believe is going to be a catalyst that will re-capture a passion for following Christ in our youth ministry, our schools, and our communities.
God is good. I've seen a lot in the past four days, but I'm much more excited at what I see ahead as a product of our time.
For now, I'm tired. Looking forward to a time of sabbath over the next 24 hours.
A great thought I heard on embracing sabbath this week, "If I'm doing something I feel obligated to do, it's not Sabbath."
Lot's of stuff ahead though.
-Friday night is the big "Brothers In Law" Fantasy Baseball draft.
-We're going to flip-flop Jr./Sr. High rooms this next Wednesday.
-I'm up again in the am services March 18.
-Spring Break is coming, and I'm thinking I've got a surprise for those "left behind" up my sleeves.
-In April, there's a trip to Mexico with Jason to prepare for IMPACT, and another trip to Colorado to hang with my man Caleb.
