Baptisms during worship on Easter

This morning at NMC people were baptized. I sat in on the 8:00 and 9:30 services in the Worship during the baptism. While the congregation was in worship, Pastor Dave did the baptisms while a family member or significant spiritual influence assisted.

In Connection, we ran a live feed of the 3rd hour baptisms in the Worship Center, then 3 individuals from the Connection were baptized live.

I've never been at a Easter service where people were baptized, but it was POWERFUL.
We're gathering on this morning to celebrate the Savior's victory over death and sin, and individuals are making a public confession of their desire to follow this Savior.

Add on the fact that Jeremiah and the Connection crew put together an incredible worship experience that included...

... A set focused on an empty tomb.
... Several videos.
... Liturgical Reading.
... Grant Longenbaugh painting.
... Rockin' set of songs.

My passion was reignited this morning. As Terry said in the Connection, watching people get baptized is a lot like going to a wedding. When it gets to the vows, you can't help but think through your own vows you have made with your bride.

He's alive.
The tomb is empty.
He's Sitting at the Right hand of God.
The Holy Spirit is WITH us and IN us.

AND HE IS RETURNING!!!
