Generation gaps

We often think of the generational gap between the on the verge of the grave generation vs. the on the verge of adulthood generation (a.k.a. Boomers vs. Millenials).

I've been doing some reading on what looks to be a significant generational gap between Generation X (me) and the Millenials (current students). Here's an example from the guys at Monday Morning Insight.

As I read this post last night, I can see some very valid points. So, it's gotten me thinking.

Here's two of my thoughts/ questions as I read this:
(I'm trying to look at this from 30,000 feet, so some statements may not be equivalent to my experience)
  • Is it just me, or does leadership continued aging as I age???
  • Has the desire of the Baby Boomers to "be the leader" allowed them to hold on to their position of power and influence at the cost of the generations to follow?
