Go visit other churches

Had a good time over the last couple of days. I enjoy being a part of the 3DYC executive team because I get a chance to use my abilities and gifts to benefit other churches. Even more valuable, I enjoy spending time with my teammates. Especially enjoyable was the late night last night spent in the hotel talking shop and life with fellow youth pastors Brad Thorton, Matt Ransom, Seth Bartlette (seriously Seth, start a blog), and Chris Lehane (Chris actually blogged about it last night, an unheard of post from tank).

Then, on the way home, Chris, Seth, and I got in a little discussion about visiting other churches and ministry that are getting it right. This is something I love doing. I really enjoy taking students along.

But here's the key... if we go visit another church, on the way home, we discuss one question only, "What are they doing that we could learn from?"

No "I didn't like how..." or "They didn't do this like we did..." or "I don't think it's right that they..."
