Let me start by saying that my wife is awesome... She pulled a little surprise on me for our trip.
We arrived in downtown Chicago at 3:30 pm. We stayed at the Seneca Hotel... which is one block from Water Tower Place. Old school hotel. Nice place.
We didn't pack very wisely... forgot that Chicago is truly the Windy City. We did a little shopping for Sweatshirts, then headed to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory at Navy Pier. -- side note, every IMAX Spidey 3 show was sold out for Friday and Saturday -- Bubba Gump was much better the last time we went in 2002.
Then, it was on to see Wicked. This is an AWESOME show! All I knew going into it was that it was the untold story of the Witches of Oz. It is one of the most entertaining and creatively woven musicals I have EVER seen.
After the show, some Ghiraldelli's Hot Fudge Sundaes.
Saturday Morning, it was off off to Wrigley Field via the Red Line.
Our seats were along the Left Field line...
Right near this dreaded seat...
2002, top of the 8th, and this guy walks into Cubs cursed past.
We were right out by this $150 million guy...
Best of all, it was spent with her...
In the end, Cubs win 5-3.
In the end, Derry wins... 7 years.
Above all... LOVE WINS!!
