Right outside our hotel in New York was a Billboard for Nextel that said,
"I watch too much phone."
Significant commentary for the technological road I-phone and others are taking us down.
I just got back from two different trips where we require students to leave at home cell phones, I-pods, PSPs... basically anything electronic that involves putting something to or in an ear.
I don't see these devices as evil. Yet, I'm amazed at the heightened level of awareness of self and those around that I saw over these two weeks.
I guess the key is making sure to "unplug" regularly.
