A Night that will not soon be forgotten

Cowbell night is over. A few highlights.
  • Jeremiah commented that when he and the band came into the gym after praying, he felt like he was walking into a college stadium before a football game.
  • We had a gong, cymbals, trash cans, referee's whistle, airhorns, chimes, trumpet, cowbells, wood blocks, drums, shakers, and a few other items I'm still not sure about.
  • The walls literally were shaking!
  • I played in the band! I was good too.
  • A conga line to "Undignified" was unreal.
  • At one point, the band was completely lost in the song because they couldn't hear each other.
We had a ton of fun. There were some valuable lessons and moments int he night as well...
  • We can worship in more ways than singing.
  • Sometimes laughter is the best thing to do at Church.
  • As we consider the story of Joshua and the walls of Jericho, we need to realize that a cowbell is weapon that God can use to bring down walls.
Enjoy some pictures. Rumor has it there may be a Cowbell Night Part 2 in the Spring!
