It's Halloween time; therefore it seems that there's a heightened attention toward scary stuff.
I have two major fears...
I have two major fears...
Ophidiophobia
aka the fear of snakes - In the words of Indiana Jones "I hate snakes". The old show Fear Factor was a pretty big joke to me, except for the challenges where individuals had to do anything while covered in snakes. It made me wiggle in my seat while watching it.
Even scanning the web to find a picture gave me the willies.

Coulrophobia
aka the fear of clowns - Until tonight, I didn't know there was a specific name for this fear. I also now realize it is a fairly common fear. I attribute my fear to watching the made-for-tv Stephen King's It. It just freaked me out beyond belief. I've had a recurring nightmare where I wake up and look out my window at a clown, laughing with a demented smile on his face. Clowns are not fun. They are evil.
So there's my fears, which begs the question...
What are you afraid of?

Why oh why Derry would you ever put a picture of a snake on your blog? For those of us who have a deathly fear of them, I am freaking out right now. I thought you hated snakes! How could you even look at a picture, let alone post it! Aren't you freaking out too? I think I may hate you. At least for two weeks until the nightmares stop.
I believe that all people in the world can be divided into 2 categories: Those who are afraid of snakes and those who are afraid of spiders. My wife is terrified of snakes. I can't stand spiders (must be from the movie Arachnophobia).
Oddly enough, I was always strangely captivated by It. I've even rented it in recent years for some unknown reason. You took away from that a fear of clowns, but what I remember is that It actually turned out to be a giant spider.
Clowns and beat up ice cream trucks with the creepy music playing are the fears at the Yoder house. If a clown was driving the truck - unthinkable... :)Leslie
What were you thinking putting that pic up of a clown?!?! I think I just developed a new fear, a fear of looking at your blog!
I contribute most of my fear of clowns to Stephen King's It as well. Although, I sat their for most of it with my head buried in my pillow!
Dancing is my greatest fear. I hate it. I feel completly out of my element, a fish out of water...and that's how I feel I look as well while dancing. Goooo.
Now, I'd be up for a Waltz or some Ballroom. But, none of that Club Fever Remix Jazz.
