World Tour - Wednesday Night Recap

Students tend not to get excited when you read stats, so what we did tonight was very risky. The whole night was surrounding statistics concerning the current state of the world with Population, Children, Poverty, Health, Displaced People, and Church Growth.

With the help of Google Earth (another post at some point about how Google Earth has been very valuable to my prayer life) we were able to tour the world in about 45 minutes.

After going through each category, we stopped and had students interact with the statistics. Those who are in Small Groups were with their Small Groups and leader.

Our biggest goal, perspective. Our next goal, stir students to desire to "move".

At the close of the night, I asked how many students were sensing that maybe God was calling them into a life spent in another culture living out the Gospel. 20+ students raised their hands.

I asked how many students were 100% certain that God had spoken to them tonight that they were to spend their life in another culture seeking to advance God's Kingdom. 3 students raised their hands.

THIS IS THE KIND OF STUFF THAT PUMPS ME UP!!!
Next week, we begin to ask "how do I move?"

Below is a slide show of the stats we walked through. The best way to view them is to hit the play button, then the pause button and look through them manually.
