Coffee House Observations

I love going to the Main Street Coffee House on Tuesday Mornings. It's sort of become a weekly practice. It allows me some time get away from the office environment and study, reflect, or do some long-term planning.

The other benefit is that it gets me out into the "world". I am a people watcher. I have to be careful that what I do is not too nosy.

Case in point, this morning, I am overhearing two grandma age gals talking. I'm hearing them not because I'm listening in, but because they are talking at a very healthy decibel level. These ladies are not very happy. The following has been discussed.
  • Why schools are not educating kids well enough.
  • How there aren't any good restaurants out there any more.
  • How rude and nosy their friend (who is a pastors wife) is.
  • Why people are, in general, just to rude today.
I'm sorry, but I was sucked in to listening. My observations this morning.
  • Older people cursing just doesn't sound right.
  • When I hear others gossip, I realize how ugly it is.
  • I don't want to be a complaining whiner as I age. I already see it happening in me.
  • I shouldn't talk too loudly.
