A Prayer Exercise

We have 19 students and 5 adults heading down to Mexico in June. We do a 6 month training process heading into the experience. In that time, we do a lot of preparation for the trip as well as doing a ton of discipleship/heart prep.

We recently did a study on the Personal Disciplines, and several of us were challenged on our prayer lives.
One practical application was to take each day of the week to make sure we are focused in on a specific person, place, program, or project. This doesn't mean that's all we pray for, but it does mean we make sure we spend specific time in prayer for that certain topic.

So, for the next three weeks, each member of the team is going to put this in to practice.

For me:
  • Monday - Family
  • Tuesday - Google Map Day (get on Google Maps and go to different parts of the world and pray over them)
  • Wednesday - NMC Senior High Students
  • Thursday - NMC Student Ministries Alumni
  • Friday - The Maasai Project/ Caleb Bislow and other Partnerships (Tom Carpentar, India, past IMPACT trips, etc.)
  • Saturday - Hurting People Day (those specific struggles and issues I've been made aware of during the week)
  • Sunday - My NMC teammates and the greater Body
