A lot of Road time for a quick visit with BIG payoff

Today, it was up at 5:30 a.m. for the four hour trek to Vermilion, OH... home of Beulah Beach Camp... home of NMC's Jr. and Sr. High Summer Camps.

We were there for a total of 2 hours. Then we turned around and came home. Yet, the time was extremely valuable. In our short visit...
  • Chris Lehane and the SOAR guys had never been there, and were able to get a "lay of the land." Very key as each of the guys will be taking lead on varying levels and areas.
  • Talk face to face with Jeremy, the staffer who works closely with our group.
  • We squared away meeting locations.
  • Get a few details nailed out for power and wiring for sound and lights.
  • Toured through our housing spots.
  • Maybe the biggest value, we were given the freedom to scope out the grounds for a prime spot to put a new fire pit that they are going to custom build for our group. IT IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!
  • Praying as we walked for a special time of meeting with God.
  • 10 hours of connecting with our Summer Team. We talked light, we talked heavy, and we had a great time all the way through.
THIS COULD BE OUR BEST SUMMER CAMP TO DATE! I REALLY BELIEVE GOD HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL IN STORE FOR US!
