I just walked into the bedroom and watched my daughter sleep. We absolutely love Katylynn. She is a truly unique and amazing baby. As I looked at her, I was reminded of the journey I've been on. It was at this time last year I was coming to grips with the reality of my frustration with God, and my doubt if he would ever hear my prayers.
There are still many prayers in my life that are going unanswered. Yet, as I reflect back on my lessons learned through this specific journey with Katylynn, I'm reminded of one significant lesson I've learned...
Isaiah 5:8-9
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As I looked at her, I was reminded...

- If God would have done it my way, Janelle and I wouldn't have experienced 7 years of ministry and world travel together the way we had.
- In my plans, I would not have experienced the miraculous path that God had for us.
- If it would have gone my way, I may have missed that deeper level that God wanted to take me in my RELATIONSHIP with HIM.
- If God would have answered my cries earlier, I wouldn't be looking down and stroking this little girl's back.
