Finishing Up

What words do I use to explain our time together last night?

WORSHIP.
POWERFUL.
CONFESSION.
FREEDOM.

Many came out of hiding last night. As we finished our time out at the camp fire, our leaders led the charge by writing on a block and sharing (in front of everyone) one word or a short phrase that which they have been hiding. They then took time to share more specifically and pray with our staff, and throw that block of wood into the fire.

We then invited students to follow, writing and sharing, and then going to their Cottage Leader.
What happened afterward is hard to fully explain, except that there was an incredible brokenness that swept through the area. That brokenness was followed by repentance, and then met by love, grace, forgiveness and FREEDOM!!!!

I'm writing this right now as Jeremiah leads our students in a time of worship. I can see by the countenance of many faces that WORSHIP IN FULL FREEDOM is being experienced in a new light.

Now we look at the next steps. This morning, students and leaders have processed through what needs to happen, and they will be invited to share by finishing the following statement, "When I get home, I know I need to..."

TRANSFORMATION has happened. We realize now that in hiding, we are only hurting ourselves.

Praying for miracles...
