Why We Do Sumer Camp - Part 2

This is Casey. He's going to be a Freshman at Penn High School. Penn is one of nearly 20 High Schools represented at NMC. Some of those schools have MANY students. Some have FEW. For Casey, he was the only student from Penn High School at camp.

We do many things at camp to mix up the students so they can intentionally begin interacting outside their social circles. This allows for guys like Casey to gain a little more of an equal playing field. I watched Casey (the son of one of my all-time favorite college professors) connect in with guys at this camp. They saw what a cool guy he is, and they welcomed him in.
Camp is a place where school and social lines can drop, and out of that, the connections can stay strong into the school year.

Casey is why we do camp.
