Change in Scenery

This week marks a change in scenery for Student Ministries world. Many of the Schools represented at NMC are already back in session. NorthWood goes back to session tomorrow. We aren't officially kicking off our Wednesday Night Program until September 3, but Summer Ministry is officially done, and school year ministry begins.
Summer tends to be a time full of significant moments, great memories, spiritual victories... all-around great times. Fall is filled with energy, new faces, and a full out programmatic assault. At the same time, school is going... which means students are in the trenches, facing temptation, battling distraction, and often stressed out.
We often remind those students that the school year is the test to see if Christ is truly the center. It's the time where real ministry takes place. The fire tests to see what is pure gold, and what's cubic zirconium.

I'm excited to discover the gold in this year's crop of High School students!
