nooma's, student leaders and green beans

Lot's of cool moments today at NMC.
  • Taught the Senior High in nooma Sundays, our Sunday morning youth class option. Challenged the kids to guard themselves from getting caught in the past or looking to the future with three simple words, "Why not today?"
  • Sat in with Jason as he pulled together 16 Sophomores through Seniors who will be giving 90 minutes every Sunday this semester to dive into the lives of 5th and 6th graders. I'm excited about this opportunity for the kids to be discipled and to do discipling!
  • 2 hour nap this afternoon was nice. Especially nice as I woke up to a smiling and talking baby staring in my face!
  • Went to the 6:00 p.m. Informational meeting for "No Green Beans," which is NMC's response to the the economic tornado (factory shutdowns, massive layoffs, etc.) that has been going through this area. I'm excited about the way we are leaning into this situation in order to "be the church." Got to have my little girl sit on my lap for quite a bit of the meeting.
  • Shared at The Effect, our college age and 20 something worship gathering. Talked about "Saying no to good things in order to say yes to God things." God was really there.
I love my church.
I love my family.
I love the opportunities God has given me to engage in the significant!
