- 3 messages, I talked for over 100 minutes this morning while people sat and stared at me.
- Did I really say that Bears fans are obnoxious?
- For some reason, Google earth kept turning upside down when going to Korea.
- There was a crying baby in the 9:30 service. I think I tried to have a volume fight... the baby won. Actually, there were some fairly noisy babies in all three services this morning.
- 3 encouraging texts between 9:30 and 10:45... just what I needed.
- Jumped ahead in the notes during 2nd service and had to go back and recover. Totally tried to act like I meant to do it.
- I had one moment in the 10:45 service while talking where I thought "did I already say this in this service, or was that the last service?"
- During 3rd service, I got to where I thought I should be at 11:48, and it was 11:40! Slowed down, and added in a couple extra thoughts, then went longer than planned.
- Our new Senior High offering at 10:45, "Now What," was really fun to include in the message planning. About 15 students spent the hour after the 9:15 Connection discussing what to do with what they've heard.
It was a fun morning. Praying that people will surround themselves with a Paul, Barnabas, and Timothy!

I thought you did very well! The message was definitely a great reminder to seek out and be incredibly thankful for those Pauls, Barnabas', and Timothys in my life!
You did say that they are obnoxious... and I like it.
Was it just me or did Connection show two different sermons in their services? I listened to both, and I am positive they were different tapes of your sermons! Wouldn't it had been easier if they just used the same tape both times. You did great. Oh, and the upside-down-Korea thing really bothered me. Both services. I guess its that Social Studies teacher in me, but I just can't look at a map where North Korea is below South Korea. I wonder how many kids are going to get it wrong on their geography map test this week!
Having been a schoolteacher I can relate on teaching the same thing multiple times. Thing about it is, it always, always felt like it was better the second time around. You have a better feel for what is connecting and what isn't. You can make adjustments as necessary, and you have a better idea of your timing. I couldn't imagine teaching one lesson once. That would be weird for me.

PS We haven't see this one yet!
South Korea bothered me too. I thought you meant to skip ahead and then go back. You pulled it off. I was in the balcony and the baby didn't win. You did a fine job.
If you live in Indy then Colts fan are extremely obnoxious.
If you live in South Bend then Notre Dame fans are obnoxious. Same with Columbus and Ohio State.
It's overexposure!
As an "obnoxious Bears Fan" I take pride in the fact that I don't follow a team who left one city in the middle of the night and almost left Indy if they didn't get their new stadium.
GO CUBS!!!!
