Newborn NapsIt was the same Wednesday Night that we introduced Katylynn to the youth group. Neal Yoder (one of the many who had been and continue to be an incredible support on our journey) asked me how life was going as a dad. I shared of my excitement, enjoyment and lack of sleep. Neal, father of a daughter and son, got a big smile on his face as he leaned in a little and asked, "Have you taken a nap with her yet?"
I smiled back and said, "Oh yeah." In those first few months, there was nothing quite like taking the little bundle and laying on the couch with her. I can't explain the feeling, but as Neal smile indicated when he asked, I'm sure other dads who have enjoyed this experience can identify with the inexplicable nature of this shared time.
