I'm very excited for September 30-October 1 at NMC. Our Kids In Need focus last year found me frustrated at the level of active ways to do something to fight global poverty outside of giving money to organizations who are doing things.
Feed My Starving Children looks to be a fantastic opportunity for the body of Christ to not only financially come behind the issue of world hunger, but also take part in preparing the meals that will go to those literally starving.
Our goal is to prepare 300,000 meals that will go toward those who are hungry.
You can sign up right now by going here and registering for a two-hour time slot (other than the 9:30-midnight slot, Student Ministries is claiming that time and seeking to get 240 who will own that time. Sign ups for that are on Wednesdays and Sundays through Student Ministries programming).
