Thought for the Day

1. I am a youth pastor. 
2. I am a husband. 
3. I am a parent. 
4. I am a follower of Christ. 
5. I am a child of God. 

Rarely do I feel like I'm fulfilling these roles with excellence all at the same time.
I tend to find 1, 2 and 3 at battle against each other.
I see number 4 as the one that can bring 1, 2, and 3 into balance.
When it gets down to it, 5 is something I need accept more than perform.
