Same Heartbeat

So I'm currently sitting at "the Academy Building" at Oakwood Retreat Center in Syracuse, IN. NMC and our denomination have partnered in a Youth Worker and Spouse Retreat for the many Youth Workers in our denomination. There are about 50 pastors/ spouses here. 50 individuals who love what I love. 50 individuals who are "wasting their lives" (many would say) on youth. Steve Argue is currently sharing. We just got done having a worship time that was simply blessed. It was almost like Jesus just came in and sat in the middle of the room, and we knew he was there. In the moments after that worship experience, I find myself asking, "What made that time so blessed."
A little picture came to mind. the 50 people become one. one body, one mind, one heart. ONE HEART... and that one heart that is beating in the same way. In fact, one heart beating as one. Tonight, I'm reminded that God loves unity.
12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 1 Corinthians 12:12,13
27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. I Corinthians 12:27
31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. 32All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. Acts 4:31,32
What would happen if our hearts were to beat as one at NMC Student Ministries?

Prenk,
Thanks again for helping so much with the retreat. You all have been a tremendous blessing to Tara and I these past couple of years by doing such a great job on this retreat. I only hope you and the team from NMC can find a place somewhere, sometime to be invested in like you have done with us. Your a peach bubba!!
