Comitted to the cause

I've got to brag on my church a little bit.

This morning I showed up at the church around 9:30. I was coming in to prepare for Chris and Jen's wedding. They asked me to be sure to present a message that explained the value and need for a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The cleaning crew was putting the finishing touches on the Worship Center and Grand Hall from the previous night's Rob Biagi concert. Rob is a children's worship leader. There were around 500 there last night. A great night for families to come together and honor Christ in song.

There was a group of men leaving the Fieldhouse. There was a Breakfast this morning where a Christ Following Business man from Warsaw came in to share with the men of the church. The men were pulling together to learn, eat, and pray together.

I walked over into the gym, and there were about 50 kids in there learning basketball skills. This is a part of Cross Training for life. It was started by Kim Zurcher, who died from cancer nearly 3 years ago. The goal of this is to bring young people in to learn about basketball, but more imortantly Jesus Christ.

Next Saturday, there will be tons of people showing up at the church at 8:00 am to serve. Go out into the community and serve.

I love my church. I love that we are committed to make fully committed disciples; and we are doing something about that.
