Thoughts from Bono

This morning I was doing some last-minute reading on Faith Development in prep for a my "guest lecturing" Foundations of Youth Ministries at Bethel College this afternoon.

I decided to put on a little U2 while I read. As I'm getting ready to take off, I hear these lyrics from "Crumbs from your Table":

Where you live should not decide
Whether you live or whether you die
Three to a bed
Sister Ann, she said
Dignity passes by
And you speak of signs and wonders
But I need something other
I would believe if I was able
I'm waiting on the crumbs from your table
Maybe there's much less of a need for people to HEAR about Christ, as there is a need to SEE Christ in action through his followers.
They got me thinking, so I thought I'd let you join me in enjoy these thoughts as we consider what it means to live as a Christ Follower in the midst of the needs and poverty that is across the street and aroun the world.
