25 Thoughts on Christmas; Thought #3... "Happy Holidays"

Last year a controversy seemed to erupt in corporate America over uses the term "Happy Holidays" over "Merry Christmas."
It looks like WalMart is going back to Merry Christmas this year. Story here

I didn't and don't get overly passionate about using "Christmas" as many "Christians" have:
  1. To me, "Christmas" has become as common and insignificant a word as "Christian."
  2. Holiday" is derived from the term "Holy Day." Not a bad term for the day we celebrate the entrance of the God-Man into history, huh?
  3. I would rather spend my time showing and convincing others of their need for a Savior over trying to get them to use the right term...
  4. I hate religion. Getting all worked up over using the right term stinks of religion to me.
Have a great Celebrating the Birth of Emmanuel "God With Us" Day everyone!
