I go this from him this morning:
Dear Prayer Team,
We have only been in Africa 4 days and it has felt like 4 weeks. I am totally wearing myself out. I have to keep reminding myself that the Big issue is where the Maasai will spend eternity and that my struggle to fight fatigue is an extremely minor issue in comparison.
Here are some Stats from our 4 days in Africa thus far:
Here are some Stats from our 4 days in Africa thus far:
- We chased a "herd" of 18 giraffes through the wild
- We preached at 2 churches (Tyler preached a powerful sermon on faith and Matthew brought an amazing salvation message)
- We slept in a dung hut for 3 nights
- We (God) led 1 maasai to Jesus on a runway in the bush
- We GPSed 230 villages today, which represents hundreds of huts, and thousands of maasai w/o Jesus (another whole day of GPSing will take place tomorrow. The scenery is great but 5 hours in a small plane is rough. We are hoping to chart the remainder of Southern Kenya and should have nearly all Kenya Maasai territory "somewhat" marked.
Thanks for supporting Matthew, Tyler and I in your prayers! They are great troopers as well as teammates. We are way over our heads, but God appears to be pulling us through making what I thought was impossible...possible. Please remember us as we will continue to GPS for Jesus and as we journey later this week to an unreached Moran village (Maasai Warrior village). I have never ministered to the morans before but we are believing that if God is in this, and that prayers are backing us back home, then perhaps a whole moran village will come to faith in Jesus.
