Went out to lunch today with a student I haven't been able to connect with in a while. He's a top-notch kid with Youth Ministry in his future. In our conversation, he made a statement that one word that has always been a big deal in his life is "more."
We were talking about growing stagnant in our walk with Christ. His point was that he doesn't want to stop growing.
I love it. I was challenged.
I'm always wanting more. But my "more" tends to do with something, not someone.
Philippians 3:12-14
12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
