Not a lot going on?

I was thinking about what to blog about today, and I thought to myself, "Man there's just not much exciting or significant going on."

Not much, huh? The more I processed, I realized I'm pretty stupid...

... This coming Sunday is the big deadline for New York Gospel Outreach. This is our Summer stateside Missions/Training experience. I look back on our last trip to NYGO in '03 as one of the more significant trips in the history of NMC Student Ministries. I'm praying that the students (and parents of those students) who are ready for this are going to say "yes" to an incredible opportunity (kairos) God has given them.

... Caleb Bislow is currently in Africa. Well over 100 from the NMC family are coming together to labor in prayer around the clock for the Maasai Project.

... I Will finish up the Preteen, Jr. High, and Sr. High Camp brochures by Tuesday
. We'll send them out the end of this week. This year's Summer Camps will have some fresh touches on all three age levels, with the most significant change being Jr. High Camp is going to take place at Beulah Beach (same place as Sr. High). Last year, over 325 students took part in one of our camps.

... Working on 3DYC 2007 promotional stuff. This year is going to have big change to the Conference as well (new location, lots of new stuff).

... Monday, we book the "Big Event" guest for Wednesday, May 23. Who's it going to be? All I can say is that it's going to be something we haven't seen at NMC before, and that it's going to be an awesome opporutnity to invite those who aren't following Christ to come hear about him.

... This Wednesday Night, we do something we've never done before; "Choose your own Adventure." We will be hitting the topic of Time Alone With God, and students will be able to choose from 4-5 different options for the teaching time

... From Monday, February 26-Wednesday February 28, I will be speaking at 4 different meetings.
Monday afternoon at Elkhart Christian Academy's Spiritual Emphasis Day.
Monday Night to Taylor University's Spring Short Term Missions.
Tuesday Night to Taylor U's Youth Conference Small Group Leaders.
Wednesday night to NMC Senior High.
I'm equally excited about each of these opportunities.
.

... Next Wednesday, we're going to be in "the round" again. That's right, the stage will be back in the center, and it will be another night students will not soon forget.

... The On-Fire Rallies are March 4-7. I think we may have the best ministry teams we've ever had for Middle School and High School/ Young Adult Ministries.
Middle School - Jason Lee (Worship); Tony Schwartz (Speaking)
High School - Jared Anderson (Worship); Charlie Alcock (Speaking)

So that's just the next 3 weeks. I don't write this to say I'm overwhelmed. In fact I'm far from it. I'm just thinking of the High amount of Kindgom and eternal impact these next few weeks hold in store. I can honestly say I love serving Jesus. More importantly, I'm falling more and more in love with the one I serve.
