Effective Commercial?

I just saw this commercial while watching the NBA finals. It could quite honestly be the most annoying commercial I've ever seen.



I'm sitting in my family room (by myself), and here's the sequence of my response...

• blank, open mouthed stare at the tv screen, wondering if the TV affiliate had some sort of "scratch" causing an uninteded repitition.
• Audibly saying, "Oh my!"
• Audibly saying, "Are you serious?"
• I think to myself, "do I say filet O fish, or filet a fish?"
• Asking myself, when's the last time I had a filet O fish?
• Remembering how, as a kid, I used to love to get those at McDonalds?
• Wondering if I would still like a filet O fish?
• Thinking, "I've not been to McDonalds in a while."
• I laugh out loud at the fact that I've totally allowed the most annoying commercial ever made to totally suck me in.
• Commercial ends.
• Consider blogging about what just happened.
• I think, "I wonder if that commercial is on Youtube?"
• I find it on youtube.
• I post it here.
• You now watch it and read this.
