Powerful Metaphor

I love metaphor. It is one of the most effective tools to communicate the truth of God's character and His word.

This morning at NMC, Pastor Dave showed a video that is a beautiful metaphor of Father God's heart for his children (you and me). It's footage of Dick (father) and Rick (son) Hoyt as they take part in the Ironman Triathlon.




I first watched this video at Toronto SEMP in 2004 I was driven to tears as all I could see was me in Rick, and my Father God in Dick.
