Same Message, New Spot.
As we were planning for Student Minsitries Fall Semester in late August, I decided that I would be willing to dive into the topic of Unanswered Prayer with our students. I really sensed God leading me toward taking on the topic through the pain of Janelle and my personal journey in not being able to have a baby. As I explained it to the guys in our Young Adults program, they asked if I'd be willing to come in and share the same stuff at The Efffect, our Sunday Night Young Adult gathering.
It was at the end of September when I spoke to the Senior High. We were in the early stages of pursuing the adoption route. There were major question marks. I was diving into Unanswered Prayer with a high level of personal identity and experience on the side of silence and the unknown.
Tonight, I share with the Young Adults. I have a baby girl. In some ways, I am looking back on this topic with results. It's a tricky spot. Those whom Unanswered Prayer will most likely resonate with are likely in the midst of it.
Thank God the Holy Spirit has much more to do with this stuff than I do.
