Top 2007 - Best Movie?

In a previous post, I made the statement that The Bourne Ultimatum was the best movie of 2007. I went on to state that anyone who says otherwise is wrong. I knew this would stir the pot. I knew there would be those who would take exception to my sweeping statement.

And yes, it happened.
What movie was brought up as better than Bourne?
300?
Transformers?
Sweeney Todd?
No Country For Old Men?
I Am Legend?
Gone Baby Gone?

Oh no!
Live Free or Die Hard that has been proposed by one Phil Strahm (former NMC SOAR student); then supported by one Jeff Simpson (NMC supervolunteer, set up guru, and former friend due to his support of Phil).

Andrew Whitehead and Dan Weiss then came to the defense of Bourne.

Now, I can only think of one way to solve this significant controversy...A blog poll.
The poll is on the top right of this blog will remain up until 11:59 pm Christmas Eve. Yes, my friends, all will be resolved on Christmas day. Cast your vote, and don't disappoint me America!

Make sure you read my responses to the Bourne supporters in the previous post.

They claimed McClane couldn't survive falling a few dozen feet, but Bourne could survive falling a few hundred feet???? Hmmmm...

Bourne - Won't let go of the past.

McClane - Solving other peoples problems (not self-centered) to help the future.

If a lot of people vote...

You should do polls on important things such as:

-Republican Presidential Candidate

"former friend"? That cuts deep. Well, in that case, John McClane eats kids like Jason Bourne for Second Breakfast.

Your list of potential contenders to rival Bourne had me really confused for a moment. But, then I realized you must have just forgotten what list you were making for a short moment, thought you were making a list of worst movies of 2007 (or of all time?) and accidentally included Transformers on the list.

I'm pretty sure that's the only plausible explanation.

So, you're saying I'm not allowed to vote for Gone Baby Gone? or even Knocked Up? In that case, I'm going to go with Bourne, though in all candor I haven't seen, nor desire to see, Live Free or Die Hard.

Inside sources from the "Bourne Camp" have admitted to fraudulent voting practices, including voting on multiple computers and possibly resetting the web browser. Look folks, this about sums it up... Having a Bourne nut posting a "fair and balanced" poll is about as fair and balanced as Hugo Chavez overseeing the Election process in Venezuela.

Bourne... a guy who breaks the law and runs from authority.

McClane... a guy who is THE authority.

Jeffrey... I have voted twice... once on my home computer, once on my church computer. I merely mentioned to you in conversation that you could clear your history and vote again... something I would figure John McClane would do...

We can strike one vote from the final tally to appease you.

Your former friend,
Derry

Nah, keep your vote. At least you have seen both movies. How many of the voters can say the same?

This is an inadequete poll b/c of one reason: It doesn't include transformers-which is easily the best movie of '07.

Interesting choices in films. I know these didn't have wide release (I saw them both at Heartland Film Festivals this year), but I thought Lars and the Real Girl or Mia Sarah were the best new films I saw this year.

That of course doesn't include two movie very special to me, The Simpsons Movie and the Futurama movie. So then, what wins out, my love for indie films, or my love of for Homer and Bender?
