My buddy Chad Loucks sent this to me. I found it intriguing, thought provoking, and powerful.
Therefore, I share it with you.

Hey all, I know that there are some problems in the sampling here (which economic and social classes represented, relative value/ strength of different currencies, rural vs. urban vs. peri-urban families, etc. etc.) but this is still a pretty strong visualization.
