Blogs to Check out - The Duo Edition

It's been a while since I've shared about those newer blogs that I've been checking out. Here's a new edition that highlights four blogs from two dynamic duos.

Dynamic Duo #1 - The St Mark Missionary Youth Guys... These two are the "Youth guys" at Saint Mark Missionary Church in Mishawaka, IN.

Adam Cramer is an NMC grad. Adam was a pain in the butt when he was in the youth group. BUT, when he shined, he shined. Adam is shining like crazy now. He graduated from Bethel last year then joined the SMMC staff. One of my top youth ministry highlights was traveling with Adam this past January to work with the youth of India. Ministering alongside a former student in a foreign country was so exciting. Adam has a great mind and a great mind. I won't be surprised if Adam is permanently working with youth in another country some time soon. For now, enjoy his prose here.

Seth Bartlette is Adam's boss (I don't know if that's true, but now that I put it on the internet, it must be). I met Seth through my work with our denomination's youth Conference 3DYC. He pulled one of the funniest bits on a crowd of about 500 that I've ever seen. Seth is a creative genius, loves minivans, and has great hair. You can read his ramblings here.

Dynamic Duo #2 - My Current Student Interns... these two guys are at the church every weekday for two hours to serve in various ways.Dustin Eby (the one in the helmet) is a Senior. He will be graduating from the Elkhart Crossing Alternative School. He is not there because he was expelled from a public school. He's there by choice. He's there because of an overwhelming burden to be salt and light in a place where many are hurting, lost, and looking for hope. In the Fall, Dustin heads to Moody Bible College. Some day, Dustin will be my boss. For now, you can read some of his thoughts here.

Mike Griggs (the one not in a helmet) is also a Senior. 10 minutes with Griggs, and I'm guaranteed to be laughing. Everyone knows Mike. Seriously, everyone. He is one of the most encouraging guys I've ever been around. It's rare that a student will go out of his/her way to thank, show appreciation, or find a specific way to encourage his/her youth pastor. Mike continually does this. He's heading to Bethel College in the Fall where he's going to major in Ministry. Read Mike's musings here.

Two things:

1. I really was a pain in the butt, huh? I remember you and Terry always telling me that I would understand what a pain I was once I had my own youth group full of kids just like me. You guys were right. Thanks for putting up with me, though!

2. I prefer to call Seth my "Michael Scott."
