In the Past Two Days

I was asked to do the funeral of a 25 year old gal who ended her battle with lymphoma on Friday. Her husband graduated from our youth group. The funeral is tomorrow at 11.

Sunday morning, I woke up feeling pretty nasty. I thought Montezuma only had his revenge when you are in Mexico.

Last night, while working on some videos, my mac completely froze up on me. It looks like I'm going to have to send it in to get it up and running again.

Summer Camp is looming in. Lot's to do between now and Wednesday to make sure we are ready.

You know what?
As I sat down to type these thoughts, two thoughts popped into my head...
  1. God is still on the throne.
  2. He's God, I'm not.
Those two thoughts bring peace and perspective right now.

I'm glad God (or some mystical force) gave you those thoughts or I was going to have to (not that I'm actually wise enough to give them). Actually I wish those 2 ideas were plastered to the backs of my eye balls especially when I think I'm a pretty big deal.

p.s. Can't wait until Summer Camp. I'm so excited for real!

Not sure you know me(Mr. Bennett's wife). I am avid reader of your blog. Brings back Nappanee/ Wakarusa memories. Anyway, my daughter and I leave for Costa Rica on a mission trip in 3 weeks. Your journal of the Mexico trip has been very encouraging to both of us. Thank you for doing a thankless job. Do not grow weary.
