I think I have a Bacon number of 4 a few ways:
1. One of my students last fall was Matt Daddario. He is Alexandra Daddario's brother. Alexandra was in The Attic with Nick Gregory. Nick Gregory was in Loverboy with Kevin Bacon.
2. Ellen Rapoport was in my section in law school. Ellen was a writer on the Jamie Kennedy Experiment with Jamie Kennedy (and also co-authored with Kennedy the book Wannabe: A Hollywood Experiment). Jamie was in Pretty When You Cry with Robert Harvey. Robert Harvey was in Rails and Ties with Kevin Bacon.
3. Jeremy Bash was in my law school section. Jeremy was a character in the recent HBO movie Recount and was portrayed by Derek Cecil. Derek Cecil was in Men in Black II with David C. Roehm Sr. Mr. Roehm was in The Woodsman with Kevin Bacon.
Here's two possibly attenuated Bacon numbers of 3 (although no more attenuated than a head nod from Shaq):
1. Ali Stewart was a student in my class last fall. Ali was an extra in the 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street -- and was a finalist for the role played by Mara Wilson -- in which Jennifer Morrison played a role. Jennifer Morrison was in Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon.
2. Maria Stopper was a student in my class this spring. Maria was an extra in The Breakup starring Jennifer Aniston (and sat behind her in the baseball game scene). Jennifer Aniston was in Picture Perfect with Kevin Bacon.
