This morning, I read:
Carry each other's burdens, and in this you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
I pulled into a filled parking lot today as people gathered for the funeral of a 59 year old business man who died tragically last week in a fishing accident.
I opened up my email to read the arrangements for the wife of one of my childhood friends. I actually talked to him on Monday morning about his wife and two kids. She died in a car accident Monday night. It's now just him and two kids.
Just to the right of me are sitting 5 jugs that are collecting change from NMC Students (and adults now too) that will assist ministries that are addressing kids health issues, poverty, abortion, and trafficking both locally and worldwide.
I'm growing more and more aware that there is something powerful about ACTIVE COMPASSION, and the opportunities to "carry each other's burdens."
