10 For the 2000s: 2006 Personally

  1. India Part 1: We actually left in 2005, but Janelle and I made our first trip to India. We welcomed in the New Year at the Radisson Hotel in New Dehli. The country and it's people captured our heart, and something began to stir in me... how could we get our students to begin thinking and engaging globally?
  2. The Core Part 2: We made our way to Florida where I emceed and helped coordinate the Spring Break Leadership Retreat. Our car was rear ended on the Indiana/Kentucky border on the way down. I got a speeding ticket in Alabama. We had a great time once we got there.
  3. derryprenkert.blogspot is born! I made the switch from xanga to here, and I guess you could say, the rest is history.
  4. Preaching Sunday Morning. Preached my first Sunday a.m. at NMC on May 28, 2009. Preached my second Sunday a.m. at NMC on July 16, 2009.
  5. Dominican Republic. Took a team of 22 Leaders and 6 adults to the Dominican for our IMPACT trip. Probably the best lineup and smoothest trip I've ever taken overseas.
  6. Going to Ludington through Cincinnati. We headed down to JH Summer Camp for two days. Chilled out in Cincinnati for 2 more days (Reds Game and Kings Island), then headed up to Ludington to spend some time with family. It marked the end of the busiest Summer we had experienced to date.
  7. India Part 2. The folks in India decided to do a youth camp and needed a speaker. 4 weeks before the event, I called Caleb Bislow, and Janelle, Caleb and I were on our way. We spent 36 hours in London before heading back to the country that had captured our heart. It was an amazing time of ministry. Partnering with Caleb. Seeing Janelle shine. Seeing the youth of the Missionary Church in India rise up to the challenge to live for Christ. It was awesome!
  8. What If? On a Wednesday Night in October, we called Caleb Bislow and heard his story about the Maasai Project. We asked the students, "What If we were to partner with an effort to share God's story half way around the world?" The dreaming began and it was awesome!
  9. New Life Fellowship Youth. NMC's partner church, New Life Fellowship in Lagrange, decided it was time to bring in a guy to focus in on youth. The chose Mr. Brad Bullock to fulfill this role. It was exciting as they joined us for the first time at Summer Camp and then continuing to find ways to connect and invest in Brad.
  10. The Frontstreet Boys. A group of Sophomore guys decided they wanted to shoot a "music video" for our Coffee House Outreach. The following video started the legacy of the Frontstreet Boys:
